On February 10,2026, the preparatory meeting for the Ethics Committee of HealthyWay Internet Hospital was successfully held in Fuzhou.

The conference adopted a hybrid format combining offline and online participation, gathering authoritative experts from multiple disciplines to systematically plan the establishment of an ethics committee. This marks a pivotal step for HealthyWay in building an ethical governance system for internet-based healthcare, injecting new momentum into the standardized development of the industry.

In accordance with the "Measures for the Ethical Review of Life Science and Medical Research Involving Human Subjects" (Guo Wei Ke Jiao Fa [2023] No.4) issued by the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this meeting focuses on the core characteristics of internet-based medical services and data-driven approaches. With the objectives of "standardizing ethical review, safeguarding patient rights, and supporting industry innovation," it systematically advances the establishment of an ethical review system for internet-based medical research and services, effectively protecting patient privacy and data security.

The meeting successfully completed the preliminary selection of ethics committee members, bringing together senior experts from multiple fields including clinical medicine, medical ethics, health law, healthcare security, and social supervision. This has formed a preparatory team with complementary expertise and clearly defined responsibilities, laying a solid talent foundation for the official establishment of the committee. This initiative fully demonstrates the firm commitment of HealthyWay to fulfilling social responsibilities and upholding the ethical baseline of the industry.

Clarify organizational structure and consolidate institutional foundations

The meeting focused on deliberating the 'Ethics Committee Charter (Draft)', with participating experts conducting in-depth discussions on core aspects such as organizational structure, responsibilities and authorities, and operational procedures. In alignment with relevant policy requirements, they provided recommendations on topics including annual work plans and optimization of review processes, aiming to promote the standardization and normalization of ethical review practices.

Professor Tingbo Liu from the Department of Hematology at Union Hospital, Fujian Medical University, pointed out: "Inter-institutional scientific research collaboration is becoming increasingly frequent, but the traditional ethical review process is cumbersome and inefficient. The ethical review platform established by HealthyWay will precisely address this pain point. We will adhere to compliance standards and maintain strict ethical oversight in medical research and services."

Exploring AI Ethics, Escorting Technology to Goodness

Currently, the application of medical AI is becoming increasingly widespread, offering new possibilities for disease diagnosis, health management, and scientific innovation, while also giving rise to novel ethical challenges such as data security, algorithmic fairness, and liability delineation.

During the meeting, participating experts conducted forward-looking discussions on core issues such as the entire process of patient data collection, storage, usage, and circulation security, as well as algorithm transparency and interpretability. They unanimously agreed that the ethical review of internet-based healthcare must keep pace with the times and take proactive measures. It is essential to provide an inclusive space for technological innovation while also establishing robust ethical and safety boundaries to protect the legitimate rights and interests of both healthcare providers and patients.

Zhang Wanneng, founder and chairman of HealthyWay, stated: "Ethical development is the cornerstone of high-quality growth in internet-based healthcare. We will establish a scientific and standardized review mechanism with the support of an ethics committee, promote innovation in medical research within compliance, uphold the principle of patient-first, and ensure that innovative services withstand ethical and temporal scrutiny."

Zhang Wan Neng, Founder and Chairman of HealthyWay

This meeting represents a significant initiative by HealthyWay to implement the requirements of scientific ethics and safeguard innovation in health and medical research. In the next phase, the company will further refine the organizational structure and systems of the committee, align with guidance from health authorities, enhance expert collaboration, and promote the implementation of the review mechanism.

In the future, the path to health will uphold the concept of "putting patients first and doctors as partners", leverage the platform's resource advantages, strengthen ethical governance, and contribute more to building a trustworthy and secure internet-based medical ecosystem, making greater efforts for the construction of "Healthy China".
