Project Background

To support China's hierarchical diagnosis policy, the Xiamen Health Commission and Healthyway jointly built the iHealth family doctor contracting platform. The project lets residents sign with family doctors online and manage everyday healthcare through connected digital services.

Solution

Healthyway delivered an internet healthcare platform for Xiamen with several core capabilities:

• Residents can sign with family doctors online and receive continuous health management services
• Online chronic-disease prescription renewal with direct medical insurance settlement
• Personal health record management with real-time updates and lookup
• Online consultation through text, voice and video channels
• A referral green channel for fast transfer to higher-level hospitals when needed

Impact

Since launch, the project has delivered visible public-service value and strong user recognition:

• First-visit willingness reached 91%, showing higher trust in family doctors
• User satisfaction reached 92%, reflecting broad recognition of service quality
• Coverage expanded to more than 100 community health service centers
• Online chronic-disease refill services benefited tens of thousands of patients
